About Us

KinderAcademy For Young Scholars is the first Daycare to be certified in the parish of St. Ann. It was founded in 2014 by Charmaine Brown-Barnett to address the needs of today's family. It was a love of children and understanding the need for quality education at an early age and the need for a safe, nurturing learning environment that she opened her doors to childcare. Our goals here at KinderAcademy For Young Scholars has always been to provide the highest quality of care and services for our children, their families and our community. KinderAcademy is still growing and always seeking innovative ways for best practices in the education programs for our children. Our programs are designed to enhance your child's development through a well-structured and creative curriculum. We believe in being supportive of our parents, and we welcome their positive involvement and presence at KinderAcademy at all times. We further believe that within our environment, children can thrive and have the opportunity to blossom into responsible and contributing members of our society.

Our Staff

We require on-going training for our staff through Continuing Education classes, orientation videos, in-house training, and other certified professionals in the education field. All of our staff is trained in First Aid, pediatric CPR, universal precautions and child abuse.

Our staff views education as a partnership between parents, teachers and caregivers. We believe it is essential to develop a good rapport with each child and parent based on open communication and mutual respect. we believe this is the foundation of a successful school experience. We believe in empowering children by offering them opportunities to make decisions and solve problems. It is our goal that children will possess confidence in their abilities and establish lasting relationships with teachers and peers. By offering an engaging curriculum it is our aspiration that each child will develop a positive outlook towards school, a better appreciation of the world around them and acquire a life-long love for learning during their time spent at KinderAcademy For Young Scholars.

KinderAcademy For Young Scholars is dedicated and committed to our children by providing exceptional education and quality child care. It is our philosophy "that learning is fun" and to focus on the needs of the individual child by providing a stimulating atmosphere for learning along with a secure loving environment. It is our belief that a childcare facility should be an extension of each child’s family. KinderAcademy teachers and parents are encouraged to work together to provide the love and support needed as your child reaches developmental milestones and his/her own personal achievements!
